“Very peri” also known as Pantone 17-3938 is the official colour of the year 2022, as described by Pantone.com, the website for the design industry colour gurus.

As we emerge from an intense period of isolation, our notions and standards are changing, and our physical and digital lives have merged in new ways. Digital design helps us to stretch the limits of reality, opening the door to a dynamic virtual world where we can explore and create new color possibilities. With trends in gaming, the expanding popularity of the metaverse and rising artistic community in the digital space PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri illustrates the fusion of modern life and how color trends in the digital world are being manifested in the physical world and vice versa.”

They describe “very peri” as courageous and encouraging, and will help accept the changing world with open arms and an embrace. “opening us up to a new vision as we rewrite our lives.”

Well, I say how “Very peri” indeed!

embracing blues with a taste of violet and red, “very peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression.”

over these past tumultuous years, I can say that this is a colour that will truly define 2022, as some of the most inspiring moments come from our societal embracing of diversity (despite the contrarian political posturing in our media) and the embracing of the future (Non-fungible tokens as a quick example).

For many business owners the idea of getting in front of a camera can be very intimidating. You talk to your customers, you talk to your team, but when that marker hits and you hear action – you freeze. At tribe74 we know and understand that feeling; we all weren’t made to stand on stage or appear on the big screen, but what you know is your business, your product, the thing you do best. Times have changed and now the first thing someone does whether they are looking for a product or a service is they look for a video. Besides, you need to go focus on your business!

so let’s get going with section 1:

LEARN

Know your subject, don’t bite off more than you can chew.

The more you do it, the more comfortable you will be, so make another video. Don’t be afraid to start and don’t be afraid to restart.

Practice and talk out loud. Watch yourself in a mirror, and be cognizant of bad habits.

Watch other creators/influencers for good habits, but don’t let it get in the way of pressing record. Be influenced, but don’t be identical.

What is the tribe?

In the beginning, the tribe was just two dudes looking to create and have fun.

After learning the ropes of publishing, branding, design and a growing interest in photography, Andrew approached Rob and brought forth his idea of turning their creations, experience and knowledge over to fellow creatives and small businesses to help them grow and maximize their focus.

Before long their partnership was dubbed tribe74, and they officially formed the digital media team that has been working diligently to support their network of clients.

Where did the tribe begin?

40 years ago, Andrew and Rob grew up in the same neighbourhood block, and went to the same schools in Guelph, Ontario, Canada for a couple of years. After a few moves and life changes, thanks to social media they were able to link up again 20 years later. Andrew had some great ideas for children’s books, inspired by his son Tavin. Proposing the book idea to Rob, who partnered and worked in a film/art collective studio, they decided to start a partnership grown from friendship. After publishing their first book (There Is A Boy On Top of My Bed), they went on to do a number of projects together, including 2 other children’s books, an as-of-yet unfinished comic book. tribe74 is their latest and greatest endeavour!
